Power Modifier: Kryptonian (-20%): Powers are dependent on ambient presence of (not direct exposure to) yellow sunlight; prolonged (at least a terrestrial month) removal from yellow sunlight (with no other solar radiation) will cause powers to fade. Powers are immediately nullified by exposure to red solar radiation, whether the radiation is natural or synthetic. Powers are changed (DM rolls for random effects) by exposure to other sunlight spectra. Powers are “normalized” when used against other Kryptonians or objects from Krypton (eg. Superman punching a sheet of Kryptonian metal would have the same effect as a typical human punching a sheet of Earth steel; punching a fellow Kryptonian uses his non-superpowered melee damage against the opponent’s non-super defenses), making him vulnerable to physical, chemical, and biological attacks that have their origins on Krypton or have the Kryptonian power modifier. Powers are immediately nullified by the presence of green kryptonite and are affected in a variety of ways by other colors of kryptonite (red kryptonite transforms Kryptonians entirely; gold removes Kryptonian powers permanently; blue causes rapid healing, even regeneration; black afflicts the Berserk disadvantage, etc). Kryptonian powers are much less effective against magic; on top of making the Kryptonian more vulnerable to the affects of magic, the level of Magic Susceptibility below can be used as a guideline for an “effectiveness divisor” to reduce the potency of Kryptonian powers against magic (eg. Superman is only one fourth as strong against magic opponents).
